As the weather seemed to be set fair when we left the boat in early September, it looked like there would be time for another trip before laying up . . . but another project took priority given the weather was so good!

Back at the house, Steve started work on the huge garden project again and we decided this probably had to take priority over another trip out in ‘Cachalot’. Having made excellent progress we returned to Suffolk on 10 October for a long weekend. We stowed all the sails, took everything off the boat for storage at home, and with help from Rick secured the winter cover . . . all ready for whatever the winter has in store!
